My definition of creativity :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ww8iSXx7HY
Definition : relating to or involving the use of the imagination or original ideas to create something.
Differences and similarities: more or less the same except worded differently.
I think my version is better because its the same but worded better.
Imitation can not theoretically be creative. But in the perspective of my video, i took a concept that already existed but presented it differently, making it theoretically original as it is not the exact same.
I think that Gorillas imitates Daft punk as they adapt the same style of music, and no one knows their identities. Daft punk did this originally though.
Colour bleed. The camera work in colour bleed is very close up and shaky, which gives the film an indie feel. The colour was intentionally dark to emphasise her coloured blood. The sound is quite eletrical, not soft, to give it a feel of dystopia.

Creativity Extended Learning Project
Over the next half term, you
should complete the following tasks, which all explore the concept of CREATIVITY.
The tasks completed should be
posted on your blog, however the method of presentation is completely up to you
– BE CREATIVE!
Task
1: Definie Creativity
- Without looking up an official definition, create your own definition of creativity.
- Now find an official definition.
- Compare you definition and the official one:
- What are the similarities and differences?
- Which, in your opinion is better, and why?
Task 2: Creativity and Originality
Many people think that originality,
and thus creativity, is ‘dead’ – that we no longer experience anything that isn’t
an imitation, in some way, of a previous text.
- Look at this (right) quotation by Herman Melville, do you agree with him or do you think that imitation can still be creative?
- Find an example of a media text (music video, advert, album artwork, film poster etc.) that you think imitates another media text, whilst still being creative.
Task 3: ‘Colourbleed’
- Watch the short film, Colourbleed’ (https://vimeo.com/69272765).
- In what way could this short film be considered creative? Consider:
- Use of camerawork (shots, angles and moves)
- Mise-en-scene (colour, lighting, setting, props, costume, make up etc.)
- Sound
- Narrative
- Representation of characters
Task 4: Be Creative
This is your chance to be even
creative!
- Go back to your definition of creativity from Task 1. Present your definition in a creative manner – be as adventurous, original and unique as possible.

Homework: Daniel Tyler
If I was someone as Powerful as Murdoch, I would use my newspaper to change public opinion of the government, before also using it to organise protests against them. However, I'm not Murdoch, and I wouldn't use my power like that.

The problem with media ownership is that everyone is only focused on the best way to make money, not caring about the people that's see it or who its focused on. For example, the phone hacking scandal was done simply to get a story to sell to newspapers, but violated their personal lives.
My opinion on social media in society.
My opinion of on social media on society is that its quite bad. Sites like Facebook and other social media sites are taking over people lives. May people are obsessed with posting stuff on Facebook and twitter to the point where they spend 90% of their lives on that specific site. I do however think that there are good sides to having social media in society, one of that positives is that you can communicate with people you wouldn't normally be able to have a conversation with ; such as someone that may have recently moved to a different country you will be able to talk to them without stupidly high text and call prices if you are on a pay as you go plan. Another good side is that it allows you to see what your friend and family are up to and can keep up to date with their lives without actually conversing with the person however, this could be a downside because it reduces the amount of social interactions you have with people because you can just find everything out via statuses and tweets that said person has post. These are just some of the reasons why my opinion is quite mixed, but i believe that site like Facebook are in general just bad for society as a whole because, it discourages people to actually converse. It also lets you put anything you want about anyone, so there is really no privacy at all. The negatives far out weight the positives of having social media in society.
